The circuit is using only two transistors and few other components, the three probes used in the circuit should be placed as marked in the schematic, the bottom probe should be placed at the bottom of the tank, the probe marked "Low" should be placed on the desired level on which activation of pump is required and probe marked "High" should be placed at the level where you want to stop the pump. Operating voltage of the circuit is 12V DC.

The article describes a simple low cost automatic water pump controller circuit. The circuit measures water levels in the tank with the three probes, and automatically switches ON the pump on the desired low level of water and automatically switch it OFF on the desired high level of water.
