Resistor

A resistor is an electronic component which restricts an electronic current to flow or make resistance in flowing of electronic current in the circuit. Resistors are used in almost every circuit. It contain two pins, the resistor contain colour bands on its outer surface every colour band has its own number code from which we able to read the value of each resistor. There are two categories of resistors like fixed resistors and adjustable resistors. Fixed resistors contain colour code on their surface as discussed but adjustable resistors which are called potentiometer do not contain colour code they contain fix value written in numbers on their body for example a 1K = 1000 ohm potentiometer is able to adjust between 0 to 1000 ohms.

Resistor Colour Code

As discussed above each fixed resistor contain a value in the electronic circuit which is mentioned on it in shape of colour bands each colour band has a number code from which we become able to read a fixed resistor value.
