The schematic given below is a regulated 12V dual power supply circuit using two voltage regulator ICs LM7812 and LM7912. Both the ICs are from the series of LM78xx LM79xx voltage regulators available in TO-92 Transistor package. These ICs are built to perform step down DC to DC converter tasks in

   


electronic circuits and mostly used in power supply and battery charger circuits.  The output of both the ICs given in the below circuit are 12 volts  but LM7812 is a positive voltage regulator and LM7912 is a negative voltage regulator IC. The transformer can be a 230 volt AC or 110 volt AC to 15V 1A. Use suitable heatsinks with bolth the ICs. The output current of this power supply circuit is 1A.
